If you are suffering from joint and nerve pain, even with flu, these are significant symptoms. I would highly recommend you talk to your doctor about this.

According to experts at Weill Cornell Medical, one of our academic partners. The most at risk groups are “Risk Group” individuals who should consult with their health care providers with the onset of flu-like symptoms, or following recent close contact with someone who has the flu include:

People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions, including:
Asthma
Diabetes
Suppressed immune systems (including HIV)
Heart, kidney, lung or liver disease
Neurocognitive and neuromuscular disorders
Pregnant women
Adults 65 years and older
Children younger than five years old.
See http://weill.cornell.edu/flu/ for more information.

If you do catch the flu, my article on flu remedies may be of help.

I hope this helps and that you feel better soon.

Leonaura

I was reading your article so I could understand the symptoms! I’m 61 and don’t know if I’m in the at risk group also!
