Every year, the Environmental Working Group tests the pesticide levels of produce. They publish the “dirty dozen” list, which reveals the top 12 pesticide-laden foods. You’ll want to be sure to buy organic from the dirty dozen foods. However, they also have the “clean 15” list. The foods on the clean 15 list are okay to purchase non-organic. I’ve heard there are some fruits and vegetables that absorb the pesticides more so than others. Are there any that you would suggest buying ONLY organic and others that could be washed with soap and/or a veggie spray/wash without ingesting any chemicals?
